Kim Kardashian hopes to spread awareness on homelessness with reality show 'KUWTK'

In the latest episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" (KUWTK), Kim Kardashian shared that she wanted to be aware of the pressing issues of the society.

The wife of rapper Kanye West saw homeless people at the side of the road when she was on her way home, and the sight had prompted the reality star to be more conscious of all things happening in society. She stated, "I'm just at a point in my life where I don't want to be naive anymore...I really do want to learn."

The episode saw Kim and sister Khloe visit Union Rescue Mission, where they witnessed how the homeless get to their situation. The two were more serious in this installment, as it highlighted the problems that need to be addressed by the city government. Among the things they learned was the fact that there are only 12,000 beds for the 47,000 homeless people in the area.

Kim then met with one of the city councilors, Nury Martinez, in an apparent show of determination for the cause. There, the official showed the reality star images of San Fernando Road, the location where most of the homeless stay. They drove and stopped to interview some of the homeless people they see.

The soon-to-be mother of three then suggested that the show could be an instrument to make the people aware of the condition of these people. "If me speaking about it even brings awareness to one person, then that can help make a difference," she said.

Aside from this, Kim also went to the Alexandria House, where single mothers and women had found a haven, and threw a party. Women from all walks of life who ended up in the shelter narrated their story during the event, where they had a chance to access some free services like coaching and seminars.
