The pastor who presided over the wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West earlier this year has landed his own TV show.

Rich Wilkerson Jr is an associate pastor at the non-denominational Trinity Church in Miami but his profile soared after playing the vital role in Kimye's nuptials in Florence, Italy, where he proved he is just as much at home in more traditional clergy attire as he is in on-trend shirts and Tees.

Rich and his wife DawnCheré will let the cameras into their lives for the reality show to give people an insight into their modern take on preaching, E! reports.

The series, said to be called The Wilkersons, will air on Oxygen some time after the network's rebrand expected to launch on October 7.

Producer Jason Kennedy told E! the couple were "some of the most fascinating people I've ever been around".

And while Wilkerson is comfortable hanging out with A-list celebrities, his first heart is to preach the gospel to the world, says a press release for the show.

Oxygen said the show would be a "more entertaining way of spreading the gospel", and walk with people "through the struggles of their lives" as well as shedding light on how Rich and DawnCheré "are committed to making church and faith fun as well as unexpected".

"With the entire family involved in the church, they are ready to share their innovative and thought-provoking ministering with both the believers and non-believers," it added.

Another reality show set to air some time on Oxygen is Preachers of Detroit, a spin-off of the popular Preachers of LA show.

The show will "focus on powerful themes of faith, family and friendship as these seven men and women of the cloth share their lives, transformations and triumphs in and out of the pulpit", Oxygen said.

The ministers lined up for the show are: Bishop Charles Ellis (Greater Grace Temple), Pastor David Bullock (Greater St Matthew Baptist Church), Evangelist Dorinda Clark-Cole, Pastor Don W. Shelby Jr. (Burning Bush International Ministries), Bishop Corletta L. Vaughn (Go Tell It Ministry Worldwide), Bishop-Elect Clarence Langston (Word in Action Christian Center), and Pastor Tim Alden (City of Praise Christian Church).
