Next month, an all new season of "Kate Plus 8" will premiere on TLC, and this time around, Kate Gosselin will be diving back into the world of dating while taking care of her eight children.

In the promo for the upcoming season, Kate says that they are having "a party of a lifetime". The 40-year-old is seen preparing their new home for the gathering and asking her 15-year-old twin daughters Cara and Maddie to help out, while 11-year-old sextuplets Aiden, Collin, Joel, Alexis, Leah, and Hannah are seen running around.

Kate says that she's trying to stop her controlling nature from coming to the surface, and she is seen trying to reason with her daughter at the party.

In another clip, Kate tells the cameras, "Since being divorced I can't even say I'm in the world of dating because I don't get it." A friend asks the mother of 8 if she has ever been on a blind date, and Kate says no.

But she gamely goes on a date and is seen having her hair styled for the occasion. Her date takes her to dinner and they also go on a helicopter ride, and Kate says that the guy "piqued her interest." At the end of the evening, Kate is puzzled as she tries to figure out what is the proper way to end the date.

Meanwhile, the twins are now attending high school and they find out that back to school shopping is even harder, as Cara and Maddie don't have to wear uniforms anymore. Kate will also find out that there are challenges to having teenaged daughters as Cara and Maddie start interacting with boys in the upcoming season.

As Kate is seen doing various things like looking at antiques, planning parties, and even dealing with bugs, Leah jokes that their show should be called "Kate Plus Kate" because "mommy does everything."

The new season of "Kate Plus 8" premieres on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 9/8c on TLC.
