'Justice League' rumors: One of the cast wants the Joker in the sequel

The Flash (Ezra Miller) in the upcoming "Justice League" movie apparently wants to fight the Joker (Jared Leto) in the sequel, as Miller has announced that he would like to see the evil counterpart of the superhero league, The Injustice League, which includes the Joker.

We Got This Covered (WGTC) implied that Miller might have requested Joker to be included in "Justice League 2," which may have already been greenlit. This was after Miller told the Toronto Sun that he would like to see the Injustice League in the sequel, which could mean a host of old and new supervillains teaming up against the Justice League. WGTC assumed that the Joker was included in the lineup and that he was one of the villains Miller would like to see.

"The Injustice League. I think I can speak for everyone in the League when I say that we're extremely excited by the prospect of continuing this journey. We don't really know for sure, and we're usually the last people to find out, but ... each of the heroes in this movie has specific nemeses, and I think seeing some incarnation of the Injustice League would be something that DC fans would be pretty stoked about," said Miller.

Some of the most popular members of the Injustice League are Batman's nemesis Joker, Superman's nemesis Lex Luthor, Green Lantern's nemesis Sinestro, Aquaman's nemesis Black Manta, the assassin Deathstroke, and Cheetah, whom Gal Gadot's Wonderwoman would love to fight.

That said, the Joker being included in the lineup is a strong possibility, as the character has caused much trouble for the Justice League in the comic books, even going as far as to cause Superman to become evil. However, it is not yet confirmed whether Leto will be reprising his role. This may be a good thing as Leto's Joker was not particularly well-received by some critics and even fans.

The Injustice League getting included in the sequel may still be waived in favor of a much more powerful villain like Darkseid, god of the planet Apokolips and his army of Parademons, who can defeat the Justice League single-handedly. This is more likely since "Justice League's" villain is Steppenwolf, a proxy for Darkseid, meaning the directors and producers may be setting up the stage for the ultimate DC supervillain.

No specific details for "Justice League 2" have been announced yet, but more may arise after "Justice League" premieres on Nov. 16.
