Josiah Duggar celebrates 19th birthday

Josiah Duggar celebrated his 19th birthday on Friday, Aug. 28, and his family posted numerous greetings on social media on his special day.

On their official Facebook page, the Duggars posted a throwback and current photo of Josiah and wrote, "Today is our Josiah's birthday. Josiah is creative and a hard worker. We are especially pleased with the wonderful young man he's become. Happy happy birthday, Josh!"

More than 2,000 of the family's followers commented on the post, with one fan claiming to have met Josiah at a family camp where he had volunteered a few years ago.

"He is a very well mannered, polite young man who doesn't mind giving to others," wrote the fan.

A few hours after the first post, Michelle took to the social media website to say that her son is someone who has made a big impact in all of their lives, and that they are blessed to have him in the family.

Josiah is a budding filmmaker and has put up Duggar Studios with three of his brothers. They have made several short films and music videos, including a music video featuring some of the Bates and Duggar boys singing "Happiness is the Lord."

Back in April, Josiah revealed exclusively to People magazine that he had started courting Marjorie Jackson, and the two made the official announcement toward the end of season 10 of "19 Kids and Counting." Fans of the reality show thought that Josiah would get his share of the spotlight as it was expected that their courtship would be featured in the TLC show's 11th season. However, the show was cancelled last July.

Earlier this month, Josiah and Marjorie mutually decided to end their courtship after four months. In a joint statement issued by the Duggar and Jackson families, it was revealed that the two "agreed to end their courtship, keeping in step with what they believe the Lord's will is."
