The whiskey-loving, superhuman detective is back for the second season of the Netflix original series, "Jessica Jones." In a recent Tumblr post, the set photos gave a brief sneak peek at the set featuring Krysten Ritter in the iconic leather jacket of Jessica and her fashionista radio host best friend, Trish (Rachael Walker).

At the end of season 1, Jessica had the satisfaction of killing the mind-controller and obsessive Kilgrave (David Tenant). Before snapping his neck and ending his miserable life, Jessica had to face a lot of trouble and hardships that made her question whether killing Kilgrave was worth it. In the final scenes, Trish and Jessica share an embrace but not before the camera captured the latter's emotions, which could only be described as either blank or confused.

Creator Melissa Rosenberg teased fans about the possible fate of Jessica after killing Kilgrave.

"She was kind of messed up even before Kilgrave came along," Rosenberg told Esquire, adding, "and so in season 2 we can explore what's possible for her moving forward."

Jessica may have been a detective extraordinaire with limited flight powers and lots of reserve for superhuman strength but she's not a murderer. Sure, she can knock back one too many shots and delude herself into most of the decisions she may regret, but the knowledge that she's responsible for Kilgrave's death can weigh heavily on her conscience.

"Jessica Jones" season two may feature the consequences of her actions and fans are more than likely to see her go back to her never-ending stash of alcohol. On the other hand, she's not so alone anymore. "Empire" actor Eka Darville, who plays as the lovable Malcolm, and Trish are the two people who can and may stop Jessica from spiraling all the while helping her save New York from the rumored new characters.

According to CinemaBlend, "Jessica Jones" season 2 may feature two new characters: a mad scientist from IGH named Dr. Kirby and a new supervillain named, Ingrid. Either these two characters will play a part in helping Jessica get back on track or they can be her justification for the many whiskey bottles that Trish and Malcolm may find.

"Jessica Jones" season 2 is set to premiere sometime in 2018 but unfortunately, Netflix has not announced a specific date.
