Jana and Jinger Duggar news: Sisters to be the focus of possible new spinoff?

Last month, fans of the Duggar family got an update on the lives of the Christian family as TLC aired a three-episode special called "Jill and Jessa: Counting On."

The special marked the first time that some members of the Duggar family returned to television following the cancellation of "19 Kids and Counting" back in July. While all eyes were on Jill and Jessa in the special, two of their sisters, Jana and Jinger, were also prominently featured and viewers got to see how the two have been coping after the events that rocked their family last year.

In one episode, Jinger was seen shopping with Jessa as the sisters looked for some furniture to put in baby Spurgeon's nursery while in another episode, Jana gave her take on what some of the male contestants came up with in a baby food making contest at Jessa's baby shower.

While Jana, 25, and Jinger, 22, are not active on social media like Jill and Jessa, the two also have a following as fans have even devoted websites or Facebook pages to the sisters. Jana has even been called the "Cinderella Duggar" as she has often been seen taking care of her younger siblings and nephews and nieces. Meanwhile, Jinger is described by some as a free spirit and the one who is most likely to leave her family to live elsewhere, most possibly in a city.

According to Christianity Daily, Jinger and Jana's appearances in the recently concluded TLC special could pave the way for another Duggar spinoff, this time featuring the two sisters. While there has been no word about another special from TLC or the Duggars, a new show featuring Jinger and Jana might be a breath of fresh air for fans of the famous family as both girls are still single, and that leaves a lot of possibilities for a potential spinoff.
