iOS 7 release date imminent: Golden Master version slated for Sept. 10 release at Apple Keynote event 2013

Latest reports state that the Golden Master (GM) version of iOS 7 will be released on September 10, the purported date of where Apple is slated to introduce the new line up of iPhone smartphones in a special keynote event.

The Verge reports that a developer named Owen Williams received an email from Nuance which indicated that iOS 7 master version would be released to the public on September 10. Nuance is known to work closely with Apple.

Meanwhile, Apple is reportedly preparing staff members for the upcoming iOS 7 release date, according to Gotta Be Mobile.  Apple Care employees are being prepared to answer questions  from users when they upgrade to the new  iOS 7.

The OS X Mavericks developer preview 6 has been released by Apple last week.

However, the OS X Mavericks master version is not expected to arrive any time soon, and reports state that it won't arrive until October.

The new operating system for Apple's Mac computers was announced at the World Wide Developer's Conference 2013 in June alongside the iOS 7 mobile operating system.

New features added to the Mavericks are the iCloud Keychaing, Tags, Finder Tabs, and new iBooks, which lets users sync data between devices via iCloud. The Apple Maps is also included in Mavericks, along with the 3D Mode feature. According to Apple, the new operating system will be compatible with "64-bit, Intel-based Mac running either Mac OS X v10.6.7 Snow Leopard or later."

When the official version of Mavericks is ready, it will be offered as an update in the Mac App store and is likely to cost $20.

Meanwhile, the refreshed line of Macbook Pro notebooks featuring the all-new Haswell processor is expected to be released next month.

Apple introduced the Macbook Air featuring Haswell processor which significantly improves battery life, at the WWDC in June, but the Pro notebooks were noticeably absent.

Previous rumors had stated that Apple will ditch the optical drive for the Macbook Pros as they did with the updated iMacs last year, but those rumors were later dismissed as the optical drive proves to be used by most users.

The Macbook Pro 2013 is also expected to support the latest 4K display technology, which has a display resolution of 4096 x 2160, compared to a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080.
