Great things come in small packages, as Atom, the DC superhero with the power to shrink down to sub-atomic levels, has been announced to arrive in the next downloadable content (DLC) for "Injustice 2."

In the new trailer for "Injustice 2," Atom is presented as one of the playable combatants for DC's fighting game. Atom can be seen in the trailer brawling against popular DC icons like Reverse-Flash, Darkseid, and Robin, showcasing his powers like shrinking, multiplying his strength, and expanding in size.

Comicbook speculated that Atom will be available in the game's upcoming third character pack to arrive in December; no exact date has been released yet. The second character pack of the game, which included Black Manta, Hellboy, and Raiden, was released recently.

For those unfamiliar with the character, Atom a.k.a. Ryan Choi, utilizes his quantum shrinking technology and the subatomic power of the quantum bio-belt. He is also a Physics prodigy. That said, Choi is actually not the first Atom; that title originally belonged to Ray Palmer who mysteriously disappeared, forcing the former to take up the mantle. Choi, apart from beating up his foes, also uses the quantum technology of his belt to find his friend Palmer.

Atom's powers include being able to manipulate his size and mass to varying degrees through his equipment. He has no inherent superpowers and is just a regular human apart from his genius level of intellect, with an estimated I.Q. of 200+, and his proficiency in gymnastics.

"Injustice 2" is a fighting video game set in the DC comic book universe developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and is a direct sequel to 2013's "Injustice: God Among Us."

The game was released back in May and has so far featured two character packs as DLCs. The game promised a total of nine DLC characters including Red Hood, Starfire, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Black Manta, Spawn, and Atom.

No exact release date for the third character pack has been announced yet, but speculations say that the pack may arrive this December.
