It looks like Thor (Chris Hemsworth) will have to get used to a different perspective in the upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War," as a new artwork for the upcoming movie hints that he won't be getting his missing eye back.

An official promotional art for the upcoming "Avengers" sequel has been sighted and some eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice that Thor is still wearing an eyepatch. This leads to some speculations that the God of Thunder will forever be blind in one eye, as the result of his battle with his evil sister Hela, the Goddess of Death, in "Thor: Ragnarok."

Since it was only just a promotional art, there is a possibility that it might not be representative of what Thor will eventually look like by the end of the film. Although it is also possible that it might be accurate too since all the trailers so far have also shown Thor to be wearing an eyepatch. Still, this was quite a cool visual turning point for the character, as it can also be viewed as a symbolic change that he is now ready to take his father Odin's mantle. Fans will recall that Odin also had a missing eye and wore an eyepatch.

This is sad news for fans of Thor expecting Hemsworth to retain his pretty boy looks in "Avengers: Infinity War." Even more so for people who expected Thor to have his eye regenerated back somehow based on some "Infinity War" LEGO toys that featured the character to have both of his eyes. There is also another earlier poster for "Infinity War" that shows Thor with both his eyes.

It might still be possible that the LEGO toy and poster is representative of Thor's final appearance in the upcoming "Avengers" sequel, but at this point, the only way to know is to watch the movie. Thankfully the wait will not be too long, and fans, as well as Thor, will be able to see what will become of his missing eye once "Avengers: Infinity War" hits the theaters on May 4.
