The all-new HTC One 2 will be launched in less than two weeks, but rumors surrounding HTC's next flagship smartphone has all but confirmed the new specs and features of the highly anticipated device.

According to Twitter user @evleaks, who has a good track record for accurately predicting rumors of upcoming devices, recently posted photos of a pinhole cover accessory, which displays the time and weather.

The quirky accessory is shown in a variety of colors – blue, orange and green, and bears the official HTC logo.

@evleaks also posted another message on Twitter, all but confirming that a Google Play Edition of the HTC One 2 will be available. "Also, like its predecessor, look for M8 to arrive as a Google Play Edition."

The HTC One 2 (M8) smartphone is slated to launch on Mar. 25, 2014.

Meanwhile, the Taiwan-based company continued to tease fans about its upcoming flagship. Last week, HTC tweeted a photo with the caption: "On March 25th, life will become twice as beautiful." The image is tiled and depicts two of everything, meaning that dual cameras will indeed be a feature of the new phone.

A leaked video of the developer version of the HTC One 2 was released on YouTube by teenager Ledik Markovic last week. Dual cameras and an LED flash can be seen at the back of the device. The design in general looks similar to its predecessor, with the Boombox speakers in its usual place. However, the sensors seem to have moved.

The M8 is slated to pack a quad-core 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with Adreno 330 GPU, 2 GB RAM, and LTE connectivity and is set to rival the Samsung Galaxy S5 handset, released last month.
