In the season 5 finale of "Hawaii Five-0," fans witnessed Kono's (Grace Park) wedding to Adam (Ian Anthony Dale), and while Kono starts her new life as a married woman in season 6, Steve (Alex O'Loughlin) and Chin (Daniel Dae Kim) will get new love interests.

TVLine reports that "Falling Skies" actress Sarah Carter will star in a recurring role in season 6 and that her character will find love with Steve. According to Deadline, she will play Lynn, described as "a nature enthusiast and avid explorer."

With Lynn being Steve's new romantic interest, it is now unclear whether he and Catherine (Michelle Borth) will ever work things out. In the season 4 finale, Catherine went to Afghanistan to rescue someone who saved her life years ago, and in season 5, it was mentioned that although she was able to make the rescue, she opted to stay in Afghanistan as a teacher to protect the village from the Taliban.

Catherine appeared in the season 5 finale to attend Kono's wedding, but executive producer Peter Lenkov told The Hollywood Reporter that despite her return, it's uncertain how long she's going to stay in the island. Lenkov said that Steve and Catherine have a lot to talk about, since they never got to do that in the finale.

"I'm hoping that we resolve it at the beginning of next year and decide the fate of Catherine at that time," added Lenkov.

Lenkov also revealed to THR that the upcoming season will put the spotlight on Chin's love life, and TVLine reports that "Defiance" star Julie Benz will be playing the role of Chin's love interest named Jennifer. She is said to be a San Francisco detective who leads a task force that is very similar to Five-0.

"She's on loan from the San Francisco Department and she's going to end up, we think at least, having a relationship with Chin Ho," Lenkov told TVLine.

Season 6 of "Hawaii Five-0" premieres on Friday, Sept. 25, at 9/8c on CBS.
