Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes from AMC's "The Walking Dead," is trading one fandom for another, as the English actor has been chosen to narrate "Quidditch Through the Ages" from the Harry Potter franchise.

Lincoln will serve as the narrator of the audiobook "Quidditch Through the Ages," which will provide a history of the Wizarding World's favorite sport, Quidditch as was conceived in J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" series. Fans of Rowling might get disappointed, however, as it was not her who wrote the audiobook. It will instead be based on Kennilworthy Whisp's book of the same name written in 2001.

Whisp, though, is a certified Quidditch expert, whose hobbies include collecting vintage broomsticks meaning the audiobook should be in good hands.

Fans of Lincoln, however, might have trouble recognizing him in the audiobook, as the actor will be lending his voice in his native English accent instead of the Southern US one from "The Walking Dead" people have associated him with. He has also voiced out his enthusiasm for the franchise since it is something which both he and his children will enjoy.

"The Wizarding world is one that I always wanted to step into. What makes this project so special is not only that it allows me opportunities to create something my kids love and enjoy, but it also supports great causes, like Comic Relief and Lumos," said Lincoln.

This means that part of the proceeds gained from the audiobook will be given to the two charities, Comic Relief, which is a UK nonprofit organization that uses its funds to give grants to thousands of charities, and Lumos, which is a non-government organization (NGO) founded by Rowling herself which caters to the welfare of orphan children. Both charities are quite similar in the sense that the two strive to mitigate or minimize the effects and damages of poverty to the people of UK.

Fans will be able to hear Lincoln narrating "Quidditch Through the Ages" audiobook once it gets released on March 15, 2018.
