Gwen Stefani has said her farewells to "The Voice" after the season nine finale of the hit NBC show aired this week, which saw Jordan Smith as the winner of the competition.
The No Doubt frontwoman won't be sitting on the red chair next season as show veteran Christina Aguilera will be back to join Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, and Pharrell for season 10 of the show.
But though Stefani won't be joining boyfriend Shelton for the upcoming season, their relationship appears to be going strong as a long-time family friend of the Sheltons revealed that the "Used to Love You" singer has met the country star's parents.
Marilyn Philips, a close friend of the 38-year-old's family, told Radar Online that Shelton took Stefani home to Oklahoma recently to meet his mother Dorothy and stepfather Mike Shackleford.
"I think when Blake introduced her to the family here it's the most country she's ever been," Philips told Radar. "He took her to all the local joints. There's not a Starbucks within 50 miles of here!"
But while Stefani is used to city life, Phillips thinks that it's great that Shelton is dating Stefani.
"They say opposites attract and this is a perfect example," said Phillips, adding that the two are from different worlds so it must be exciting for them to learn about each other.
Radar revealed that during the visit, Stefani reportedly took some pictures with the locals. Shelton's longtime friend, Justin Perry, also spoke with the website and said that the country star's ex, Miranda Lambert, would not even take pictures with them.
"[Miranda's] a very cold person, very stuck up, you know?" said Perry.
A romance bloomed between Shelton and Stefani after they split from their spouses. Back in July, Shelton and Lambert announced that they were divorcing after four years of marriage. In August, Stefani filed for divorce from Gavin Rossdale after 13 years of marriage and three children together.
