'Grey's Anatomy' season 12 episode 10: Meredith goes to therapy while Owen and Nathan's feud heats up

The midseason premiere of "Grey's Anatomy" didn't hold anything back as the hour saw Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) brutally attacked by a patient.

The episode started out with Meredith tending to a patient named Lou, who had a seizure on her watch. After the seizure, Lou became aggressive and started throwing Meredith around, and later all the doctors were seen crowding around her bed as they frantically worked together to save her life.

After some time, Meredith was approved to leave the hospital, and though she left with a broken arm and her jaw wired shut, she managed to forgive Lou for attacking her. Lou apologized with his wife and two daughters by his side, saying that he didn't know what he was doing and that he would never hurt a woman. Meredith clasped his hand as a way to tell him that he was forgiven.

This week, in the episode "All I Want Is You," as the hospital deals with Meredith's trauma, Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Maggie (Kelly McCreary) perform a risky, experimental surgery on Alex's 15-year-old patient against his professional opinion. Meanwhile, Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Nathan (Martin Henderson) are still at odds with each other, and Andrew (Giacomo Gianniotti) and Maggie's relationship continues to develop.

In a promo for the season's 10th episode, a therapist tells Meredith that something terrible happened to her, and she smiles and says that she's lucky to be alive. But it looks like Meredith isn't coping well as the therapist asks her why she is so angry. Later, she is seen telling her friends to leave her house.

In another sneak peek for "All I Want Is You," Nathan, Owen, and April (Sarah Drew) are seen outside the hospital as they wait for a patient to be brought in. Owen chastises April for going against a direct order, while Nathan says that Owen has turned everyone against him and the least that he could do is let him work.

"Why don't you find someplace else to work?" Owen snaps.

"Yay, someone's hurt," says April while stepping forward to meet the patient. Nathan and Owen continue to argue as they wheel in the stretcher, but their bickering is cut short when the ambulance that brought the patient to the hospital explodes.

"Grey's Anatomy" airs Thursdays at 8/7c on ABC.
