Fans of former Disney child stars Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato would not take the Grammy nominations sitting, as the names of the two were left out of the list, which was released on Tuesday.

The 60th Annual Grammy Awards is nearing and so, the award-giving body has released the names of the nominees for this year. But, fans quickly noticed that neither Gomez nor Lovato made it on the list.

Die-hard fans and supporters of the "Wolves" and the "Sorry Not Sorry" singers took to social media to slam the Recording Academy of their deed. A lot questioned the body's decision, citing recent songs of the two which have been warmly accepted.

"Y'all really gonna snub my girl Demi Lovato at the Grammy's YET AGAIN. Nah I'm done," user @Lully_xo wrote on Twitter. Another one expressed disbelief and said, "Nobody deserved a Grammy nomination more than Demi."

Fans of Gomez also vented out their frustrations online. "Imagine not giving the 2017 most critically acclaimed song a grammy nomination. Your loss @RecordingAcad," user @slaygombrevcamz shared, referring to Gomez's "Bad Liar." Another "Selenator" said, "Rt if you think Selena Gomez deserves a Grammy," which was accompanied by a photo of Gomez and the award.

Lovato's recent album, as she shared in an interview, was released before the Grammy deadline. "Screw it. I don't care about the charts. I want to make it in time for the Grammy deadline," Lovato narrated. Clearly, though, it was not enough to impress the Recording Academy.

The nominations were a shocker for some, as it had left out huge names in the industry. Aside from Gomez and Lovato, Miley Cyrus and Zayn Malik also missed the nominations. Cyrus had released her "Younger Now" album, with one notable single, "Malibu," gaining much of the popularity, but it failed to get a Grammy nomination.

Zayn Malik, though his song with Taylor Swift "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" was nominated, would not get any award as the songwriters are Swift, Jack Antonoff, and Sam Dew.
