Aaron Tveit talked about some big changes that his character will face in the third season of "Graceland." The actor plays FBI agent Mike Warren on the USA drama, and he opened up to Just Jared about how Mike's near-death experience in season 3 changed his outlook on life and death, and how his behavior will catch up with him.

Aside from sporting some facial hair and having a new demeanor this season, the 31-year-old actor said that Mike's brush with death will affect his personality, and this change was brought about through his discussions with show creator Jeff Eastin.

"I think we kind of wanted to see how this experience affected how he looked at himself previously," said Tveit.

The actor added that even though Mike is dealing with visions and getting hooked on pills, he will come to realize that the way he is going about doing things is not the best way, especially the way he leads the people around him. Tveit said that his character is in the process of being a "changed agent" and that eventually, he'll start giving people some leeway and try not to force his way on them.

"That actually makes a great leader in the FBI and that's something Mike doesn't even know yet," he said.

And although his near-death experience makes Mike a better agent in some way, the actor said that he'll still keep on taking pills to be able to work.

As for Mike's relationship with Briggs, Tveit says that the reason why it works so well is because it's complicated. The power keeps "flipping back and forth" between the two characters, and yet he said that they can relate to each other, especially when it comes to Mike's addiction to opiates.

Regarding Mike and Paige's future, Tveit said that their relationship may never be the same again because there are a lot of things that need to be fixed between the two of them, but ultimately, they will be able to function around each other. For now, romance will have to be on the backburner for the pair.

"Obviously, they have chemistry. But it wouldn't really be honoring the circumstances if they all of a sudden are romantically back together," said Tveit.

"Graceland" airs Thursdays at 10/9c on USA.
