Last week on "General Hospital," Sonny and Carly vowed to keep Ava away from the baby and agreed that they should get married, right there in the hospital. The justice of the peace arrived to perform the ceremony, but just as Sonny was about to slip the ring on Carly's finger, he had a convulsion. Patrick leapt right into action and performed emergency surgery on Sonny.
Meanwhile, at the meeting of the five families, Ava said that Carlos was the one who was responsible for shooting Sonny, but Michael couldn't believe it. He told her to hand Carlos over to him, and she said that she would once she finds him. After the meeting, Ava went to the penthouse and told Julian that he's no longer a suspect in the shooting incident.
But Ava may be in trouble because Paul got information about Carlos at the PCPD. When Michael arrived at the station to ask Dante if he could bring in Carlos, the two left to begin making inquiries about the man. But Paul got a call from someone who said that Carlos was killed by Anna.
That someone turned out to be Kyle, who gave Paul the key to a deposit box containing the gun that Anna used to shoot Carlos. But Paul told him that this new evidence was getting in the way of his cover-up for Sonny's shooting.
Paul confronted Anna about what Kyle told him, and she said that he wanted to have a relationship with her but she refused, which was why he was now acting against her. Anna told Paul not to listen to Kyle, and Paul promised that he wouldn't.
