Last week on "General Hospital," Dante arrived home and found Lulu waiting for him. She asked him if they could talk, and over some beers they reminisced about how they met. The two ended up kissing, but Lulu stopped things from going too far as she told him that she thought that they could fix things, but it's just not the same. Lulu signed the divorce papers and told Dante to be happy. After she left, Dante signed the papers and threw his pen across the room.
In the hospital, Franco told Jason and Liz that they could help Jake and the two met with Jake's child psychologist. Dr. Renaud told them about Jake's anger toward Sam and she told them to make him feel safe and not to be angry with him.
Sam is at Liz's house and she trips down the basement steps. Jake ran to her and asked her if she was okay, but when she didn't respond he ran upstairs. Later, the babysitter told Liz and Jason that she was in the bathroom and when she got out, the window was broken and Jake left a note saying that he was sorry. A car skidded outside, and Liz and Jason ran out and saw Jake being hit by a car.
In the hospital, the doctor told Jason and Liz that they were waiting for test results to make sure that Jake would be alright. Monica told them that the boy would need surgery and reassured them that he was going to be okay. Later, Liz told Monica that she felt that this was her punishment for what she did to Jason.
At Liz's place, Sam regained consciousness and called for help. She felt cold and weak, so she crawled on the floor and turned on the old space heater in the basement. She did not notice that the wires were sparking, and the basement began to fill with smoke.
This week, Jason tries to reach Sam before it's too late while Liz worries about Jake's part in Sam's accident. Meanwhile, Maxie and Nathan do everything they can to reunite Lulu and Dante.
