"Frozen" continues to cast its magic as the 2013 hit animated film is still watched by fans on video all around the world while waiting for the sequel to be released. Last year, Disney announced that there will be a follow-up to the film and that directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee will be back to helm the project.

Nowadays, there has been no news about where the film is in terms of production, and there have been no spoilers about the storyline. However, countless rumors about the film's plot have been popping up online, and the latest one suggests that Prince Hans will be returning to the sequel, this time as Queen Elsa's love interest.

In the first film, Hans had an instant connection with Princess Anna in their initial meeting on Elsa's coronation day. However, it was revealed that the Prince only wanted to marry Anna as he was plotting to take over Arendelle. When he was found out, he returned to his home in the Southern Isles in disgrace, and in the short "Frozen Fever," fans got a glimpse of his punishment as he was seen shoveling heaps of horse manure out of the family's stables.

Crossmap speculates that this rumored storyline may have something to do with second chances and forgiveness, and if Hans does reappear in "Frozen 2" as Elsa's suitor, it remains to be seen whether he has truly changed for the better or if he is still after the throne.

Hans's return could result in some fun scenes with Elsa and Anna as they work together to make sure that the prince is truly sorry for his mistakes. Buck previously said that the second film will show a lighter side of Elsa and the film is expected to show the fun side of her personality.

"Frozen 2" is expected to premiere in 2018.
