In the next episode of "Fresh Off the Boat," Eddie Huang (Hudson Yang) tries out for the high school football team to impress his girlfriend Alison (Isabella Alexander).

The synopsis and promotional pictures for the upcoming installment titled "First Day," showed Eddie wearing his high school football uniform and trying out for the team, in an attempt to impress Alison who is waving at the sideline. However, his mom Jessica does not approve of this and thinks he might get hurt or injured in the game. Soon enough the kids go for a play and one of the opposing players has his eyes on Eddie and is ready to tackle him.

The large player tackles Eddie who is nailed to the ground. The poor boy appears motionless and does not get up from the field. With his mom standing on the sidelines, it is strongly hinted that she may give Eddie a good scolding later on for not listening to her warnings. It also remains to be seen what his girlfriend's reaction will be to his embarrassing tackle.

In the last episode, Eddie and his family moved in with their neighbor Honey (Chelsey Crisp) because they were in the process of buying back their old house and had nowhere to stay. Honey's daughter Nicole (Luna Blaise) started getting close to Eddie who thought that she liked him. On the contrary, she wanted to get close so that she could confide in him that she was gay and liked fellow girls.

This caught Eddie by surprise because he sincerely thought Nicole liked him but got more of a shock by her revelation. Nevertheless, he listened to her with interest and was still a good friend.

"Fresh Off the Boat" season 4 episode 2 will air on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 8:30 p.m. EDT on ABC.
