The latest patch for the PC edition of Ubisoft's hack-and-slash game "For Honor" is finally live.

Patch 1.06 that will also come to the console editions of the game at a later date features several performance improvements for the game that are meant to add more frame rate in both the in-game menus and the actual match.

Also, the new "For Honor" patch 1.06 comes with a dynamically adjusted Levels of Detail (LODs) on ambient FX during matches to make sure that the game's performance is at its peak. It also fixed the performance degradation bug that is being experienced by Xbox One players when the console's home panel opens and triggers a simulation resynchronization.

According to the game developer, "We've established that in certain situations, when game performance drops below a certain threshold, the simulation could suffer and eventually halt and end the match because it has reached a point that is unrecoverable (often seen as errors 06000018 and 06000021). These network and performance optimizations were prioritized because they target areas of the game that are susceptible to cause an impact to game stability."

For the game's matches, the new patch 1.06 finally lessened the rematch time to 60 seconds compared to the original 90-second timer. Ubisoft also managed to activate the game's "Join-in-Progress" toward the last moments of the match at a later date. This will allow players who are vacating the session to be replaced by new players toward the End Lobby. This will let new matches happen more frequently without having to quit lobby and return to matchmaking.

The patch also fixed the resync messages that are posted during matches to show the cause of the resyncs more clearly.

In addition, reports claim that the new patch will introduce elite outfits for the game's 12 heroes. These outfits can be seen in the heroes customization menu, but players reportedly need to let go of some Steel in order to purchase the costumes.

More patch notes can be found on the game's website.
