Fans of the "Far Cry" franchise better get ready to cry tears of joy, as a special and limited "Resistance Edition" for "Far Cry 5" has been announced for the upcoming game.

Publisher Ubisoft has revealed that they will be offering a special Resistance Edition of the game. It will be exclusively available at GameStop once the game gets released on Feb. 2018. "Far Cry 5 Resistance Edition" will include five exclusive, iconic Hope County collectibles and a copy of the Far Cry 5 SteelBook Gold Edition version of the game. Hope County is the fictional locale where the game is set.

The limited collector's edition is named after the "Resistance" faction that the protagonist will be involved with. In addition to the SteelBook Gold Edition, the Resistance Edition will also include a Premium collector's box packaging, a souvenir Koozie along with three exclusive postcards as remembrance to the Hope County visit, a high-quality Hope County flag bandana complete with logo pin collectibles, and a highly detailed 16.5-inch premium statue of Nick Rye and Boomer the dog, two of the Resistance members in-game.

The Resistance Edition bundle will cost players $199.99 and will only be available at GameStop.

"Far Cry 5" is the fifth sequel to the acclaimed Ubisoft first-person shooter (FPS) series and features Hope County, Montana, which is home to a fanatical doomsday cult called Eden's Gate. The cult is ruled by the oppressive Joseph Seed and his equally oppressive siblings who are viewed as nothing but trouble by the residents of Hope County. Players must then rally the enraged residents and form a Resistance faction in order to free the county from Seed and his family.

Like the previous "Far Cry" games, "Far Cry 5" will also be utilizing its impressive open world as the central mechanic of the game. Players can freely explore the vast open world area either on foot or by commandeering a plethora of vehicles ranging from trucks and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) to speedboats and airplanes. Armed with an equally diverse selection of guns, the players are allowed to run amok in "Far Cry 5," giving them a level of freedom few games can match.

"Far Cry 5" is set to be released on Feb. 27, 2018 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows.
