Ever feel like you won't succeed at something before you ever start? 3 Bible verses to motivate you

Have you ever felt like you won't succeed at something, even before you actually tried doing what you were going to do? If you have, then this article is for you.

Too many Christians today live with a defeated mindset. They think failure will inevitably come no matter what they do. They think they won't do so well on the things assigned to them, so they end up not doing anything. They actually fail before they even start.

This is because of a mindset that accepts defeat even before the challenge begins.

Friends, we must realize that what we think shapes our decisions, and thus our actions. When we think defeated, we will likely talk and walk defeated. Proverbs 23:7 tells us,

"For as he thinks in his heart, so is he..."

Moreover, what we declare upon ourselves becomes what happens to us. Proverbs 18:21 tells us,

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit."

Because of this we should all be careful about what we believe and declare over ourselves. Our set of beliefs will direct us. We should be very careful about what we believe.

Believing for victory

Friends, we should have the right set of beliefs in our hearts and minds all the time. Here are some Bible verses that will tell us what to meditate on so we will be motivated to succeed.

We are God's workmanship in Christ - Ephesians 2:4-10

"But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."

We are more than conquerors in Christ - Romans 8:37-39

"Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Things we should meditate on - Philippians 4:8-9

"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you."
