"Dying Light's" bright promise of 10 free downloadable contents (DLCs) is not showing any signs of dying, as the second update, simply named Content Drop #1, after the first Content Drop #0, has arrived.

Aside from Developer Techland making good on its pledge, a video has also been released detailing the freebies that the players in the zombie wasteland will be receiving. With the new content comes lethal inventions, which are custom made weapons that the players can presumably tweak and modify. Three new weapons are also being introduced, available to the players after finishing the three new corresponding bounties.

The first weapon is a Fenris double ax called Bloodlust, which allows the players to initiate a devastating combo after cutting off the limbs of enemies. The ax also has a wide swing arc that allows its wielder to hit multiple enemies, perfect for hordes of zombies.

The second weapon is a Kuai dagger called Rise of the Phoenix, which allows the players to gain a boost speed after stringing together a series of parkour moves in-game. It is also faster than the Bloodlust, but it comes with a tradeoff since it cannot be used to attack multiple targets.

The final weapon is the Last Wish revolver called Ace in the Hole, which allows players to execute a massive-damage sixth shot after getting five headshots with the first five rounds in the revolver's chamber. The sixth shot is quite powerful and has explosive properties that act like a grenade. It can hit multiple enemies or take down one single tough enemy with one shot.

One bonus weapon is also available for members of Gemly, a community, content, and store platform for gaming enthusiasts made by Techland. The weapon is a patterned wrench called Ye Old Trusty, which can be used as a weapon to bash the skull of enemies, or at least stun them first. Players can register on the said platform by visiting its official website.

"Dying Light's" Content Drop #1 is out now and is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, and Linux. Eight more content updates will follow soon after, and players are advised to stay tuned.
