Duggar Family News: Jill's fans go crazy over her pants

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard from TLC's "Counting On" TLC

Jill Duggar Dillard, the 26-year-old daughter of the Duggar family, has been spotted wearing jeans, something which confounded and caused a stir among her fans.

It seems her sister Jinger is not the only one to break family tradition by wearing pants. Recently, Jill also went out in a theme park wearing a pair of her own. She was spotted at Silver Dollar City, Arkansas with her husband, Derick Dillard, and their children. Photos of her in jeans have since been posted on Instagram.

So far, she has not commented on the issue. Fans expecting the religious and conservative Jill to explain why she wore pants in public might get disappointed, as the reasons are still unknown. This was also the first time Jill has deviated from the strict Duggar family dress code, despite her sister, Jinger, doing it since her marriage. Fans believe that Jinger might have something to do with the way Jill dressed or might have influenced her sister in clothing choices.

Some fans, despite being shocked at Jill's choice of apparel, suggested that it simply could have been a publicity stunt. Some even linked Jill's relatively rebellious display of clothing to her husband's recent controversy. It can be recalled that Derick was recently cut off from the Duggar's reality show "Counting On" due to his transphobic comments towards transgender Travel and Living Channel (TLC) network star Jazz Jennings. Derick blamed Jazz's parents for permitting her to make the decision about her sex-change and even referred to Jazz as a "he."

Despite the seemingly rebellious moment, Jill is actually one of the most conservative daughters in the Duggar family, with an equally conservative husband. Ever since childhood, Jill had been taught strict gender dress codes by parents Bob and Michelle. As such, a female wearing pants is an issue for them since Jill and many of her sisters normally wear dresses and skirts, as befits their gender.

It is not certain at the moment whether Jill plans to keep up with Jinger's dress code.
