Dream come true: Taylor Swift makes surprise visit to girl with Down syndrome and bone cancer

Everybody knows that American singer Taylor Swift is a real sweetheart when it comes to her fans, and this time, Swift made a 13-year-old girl from Delaware who has Down syndrome and a rare form of bone cancer very happy when she paid her a visit.

Victoria Marsh loves two things in this world—swimming and Swift. Just last year, she began feeling some ankle pain, and after going to the doctor, the Marsh family learned she had osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer.

Since her diagnosis, Victoria's leg has been amputated and she has endured several rounds of chemotherapy. Despite all that has happened to her, Victoria maintains a cheerful disposition. Her positive approach to life has inspired the Dover Police Department so much that they created a parody video of Swift's "Shake It Off."

Because of this, the officers received free Swift concert tickets. They asked Victoria's mom Karen if they could give one ticket to her.

But during the day of the concert, Victoria was too sick to go, so the police department worked their magic once again and created an online campaign called #swiftawish to try and get Swift to visit Victoria.

And it worked! Karen Marsh told BuzzFeed News that Victoria's doctors gave her a special pass to leave the hospital for a few hours, and Swift and her team arranged the meet-up.

"It was an incredible and very memorable evening," Karen said, and after that experience, her daughter was a "very grateful girl."

Earlier, Swift surprised her fan Katy Harris during her wedding day, according to Entertainment Tonight. Harris was such a huge fan of Swift that she even had her wedding at the parking lot in front of Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia—the same venue where Swift performed as part of her 1989 World Tour on June 12.
