'Die Hard 6' news: Sequel refuses to die; 'The Conjuring' writers hired to rewrite script

Apparently, the "Die Hard" franchise just doesn't want to go away as for the sixth time around "Die Hard 6" is still happening thanks to newly recruited writers responsible for the horror movie "The Conjuring."

The said writers, however, are in for quite a hectic crunch time since they have to rewrite the whole script for the upcoming Bruce Willis action movie. This is because Willis himself has announced that he will soon be joining the production set of the movie for filming, meaning the writers only have a short while to finish rewriting the whole movie before filming begins.

Speculations also point to some new twists and themes for "Die Hard 6" since it is being written by horror movie writers and that might just make it one of the scariest "Die Hard" films ever, which is not necessarily a bad thing. The said writers are brothers Chad and Carey Hayes and they were also responsible for other lesser known horror films such as "House of Wax" and "The Reaping."

Since it is another "Die Hard" movie, Willis will reprise his role as the grumpy and heroic cop John McClane. The movie is also set to be directed by Len Wiseman who also helmed the fourth film in the franchise "Live Free or Die Hard." The film is also set to be different and unique compared to the first five "Die Hard" movies with an equally promising premise.

Apparently, "Die Hard 6" is set to take place both in the past and present, where a modern McClane's storyline will be told in parallel with his younger self. What makes this prospect exciting is that someone else will play a younger and more fit McClane instead of Willis during his green days as a New York cop.

So far, it has not been revealed who will play the younger McClane, but it is only a matter of time before he is unveiled based on when the writers finish the script.
