Last week on "Days of Our Lives," Patch returned to Salem and told Kayla that he brought their son with him. He told her that Joey didn't like the boarding school in Ohio so he brought him home. He also told her that when he was planning to return to Salem, Kayla wasn't happy about it. Later, Kayla scolded Joey for what he did, and Joey told her that his father was only using him to reconcile with her.

Joey and Kayla went back to the boarding school as Kayla wanted to explain Joey's absence, but Joey ruined his chance of coming back by saying he didn't want to study or learn anything. Resigned, Kayla took him to work, and Joey blamed her for driving Patch away. They could have been happy. Kayla said that it's not like that at all, and that his father was not good at honoring commitments.

At the mansion, Victor told Patch that Bo is on a mission for the ISA. Patch wondered why Bo was gone for so long — it didn't seem like him at all. Victor told him that he had no other information. Patch learned that Bo keeps in touch with Victor by writing and asked to see his letters. He got worried when Bo wrote about being in Tahiti with him, and Patch said that they never went to Tahiti. He thought that someone else must have been writing the letters.
