'Days of Our Lives' spoilers: Marlena attacked by the killer

Last week on "Days of Our Lives," JJ blamed himself for Paige's death and told his mother that Clyde is the one who's running drugs. He told her that Clyde threatened Paige and that she's in danger, too. Jennifer told him that she's going to tell the police. After he left, Clyde showed up and said that he wanted to introduce himself since their children are getting married.

Meanwhile, Chad got released from prison and Rafe told him not to leave town. Rafe talked to Roman about the case and how Chad couldn't have been at any of the crime scenes, which led Rafe to think that Chad was being set up. Clyde arrived and told Roman that he saw Chad outside Paige's dorm around the time she got killed. JJ got to the police station as well, and upon learning that there was no news about Paige's killer, he left. Then, JJ got a text from Clyde telling him to meet him at the docks. At the docks, Clyde gave JJ a phone and told him to keep in touch and to stay away from the police.

Abigail went to the DiMera mansion to see Chad, but Stefano told her that he wasn't there. Chad walked in, and he told Abby that although he couldn't remember a thing from the other night, he felt as though he was being set up and that she should stay away from him for now. Later, while Chad berated his father, Stefano blacked out. Chad called for help, and at the hospital, he found out that Stefano had a heart attack. Later, Rafe questioned Stefano about the murders, and Stefano told him that neither he nor his son had anything to do with them.

After Chad had a hypnotherapy session with Marlena, he asked Kayla whether there was any drug that could cause him to lose consciousness. He remembered being approached by Clyde the night Serena died.

Here are the "Days of Our Lives" spoilers for Sept. 21 to 25:
