Last week on "Days of Our Lives," Will's death caused shock waves throughout Salem as his loved ones grieved his loss. Rafe thought that it couldn't be Chad's doing, as he was friends with Will and that there was no motive there. Lucas called Sami to tell her about her son being dead. Meanwhile, Victor called Sonny, who was in Paris, and told him that Will was murdered.

Sami arrived in Salem and appears to be in shock. Everyone told her that Chad is the main suspect, but Sami doesn't believe that Chad is capable of killing Will. Marlena also told Rafe that she and her colleagues agree that Chad doesn't fit the killer's profile.

Meanwhile, Chad came out of hiding to confront Ben and said that he knew all along that he was the Necktie Killer. The two got into a fight, which ended with Chad being knocked unconscious. Ben pretended to be unconscious as well, and that's how Abigail found them. Ben told the police that Chad tried to kill him, but Rafe noted that there was no necktie.

At the hospital, Kayla told Hope and Rafe that Ben beat Chad hard enough to fracture his skull and that he's in a coma.
Later, Sami arrived at the hospital and went into Chad's room. She yelled at him to wake up, and when that didn't work she tried to suffocate him with a pillow. Marlena walked in and stopped her from killing Chad. Later, Marlena advised her to grieve her son's death and said that revenge isn't the answer. She also handed Sami her mail, and she was surprised to find a letter from EJ, telling her that it's impossible to make peace with Stefano and that she left her with a way to avenge their family.

This week, Salem will mourn Will at his funeral, and Sami will make a decision about EJ's letter. Will she seek revenge, or will she take what's left of her family and go far away from Salem? Meanwhile, as Chad lies in a coma, Ben is going to tell someone that he is the Necktie Killer. Will Chad be proven innocent?
