Last week on "Days of Our Lives," Marlena told Abigail that Chad confessed that he loves Abigail when she hypnotized him and that everything changed after the session.
Marlena said that she was chloroformed and that her office was ransacked, so she didn't really know what happened after that. Marlena told her about what happened with Sami and the money she got from Stefano, and she thinks that Andre and Stefano assumes that she knows where the money is hidden and that they are the ones behind what happened to Chad. Marlena said that it's possible to get Chad back to his old self if he agrees to be hypnotized again.
At home, Abby tried to contact Chad when she noticed that baby Thomas had a fever. Abby called her mother and the two of them took the baby to the hospital. At the hospital, Daniel told Jenn that the baby has symptoms of Aplastic Anemia, which Abby also had when she was a baby. Jenn told Abby about it, but later, Daniel ruled out the condition and said that they'll have a diagnosis as soon as they get some blood samples from Abby and Thomas's father.
Abby left and when she returned, she told Jenn that she got Ben's blood from the blood bank and that it's being tested. Later, a doctor told them that they have the results and that according to the blood test, Ben isn't Thomas's father. Abby then realized what this means as she told her mother that Chad is the father of her baby.
Meanwhile, Daniel and Brady are driving, and as they drove, Daniel asked Brady to be his best man. At the same time, Jenn is also driving as a drunken Eric climbs into his car. Later, all three cars collided as Jenn screamed.
This week, Jenn, Daniel, Brady, and Eric are taken to the hospital after the car crash. Daniel won't make it out alive as Maggie makes a decision about who gets his heart. John offers to make a sacrifice for Brady, and later on in the week Nicole bids Daniel goodbye. Meanwhile, Chad gets proof that he is Thomas' father, and as he has a breakthrough, he decides to lie to Stefano and Andre, making them believe that he's still under their power.

Jan. 4 (Monday): Jenn, Brady, Daniel, and Eric are taken to the hospital after the car crash and Maggie makes a difficult decision regarding who gets Daniel's heart.
Jan. 5 (Tuesday): John offers to sacrifice himself for Brady while Chad gets proof that he is Thomas's father.
Jan. 6 (Wednesday): Brady and Eric's fate is set as Nicole says goodbye to Daniel. Chad has a breakthrough.
Jan. 7 (Thursday): Chad lies to Stefano and Andre while Ava leaves evidence of her secret for Steve to see.
Jan. 8 (Friday): Knowledge of everything that has happened devastates Brady while Chloe and Nicole bond over their grief.
