Last week on "Days of Our Lives," Steve told Ava to set Kayla free—if she does, he's hers. In order to convince her, Steve kissed Ava. Ava said that it was not enough and she wanted to be intimate with him. Later, Joey walked in just as the two were kissing on the sofa, and Joey walked out saying that he was going to vomit.
Steve started strangling Ava and said that he was going to kill her, but Ava told him that if he went with her to look for their child, she would call Joey and tell him where Kayla was.
Ava and Steve went to Hawaii and were stranded because of a storm. Steve told Ava to call Joey and tell him where Kayla was, but she said that it was not going to happen unless he slept with her. Steve gave in, and later Ava called Joey and gave him the address where she was holding Kayla captive. Ava warned Steve that she would tell Kayla everything if he refused to do any more of her bidding.
At the DiMera mansion, Andre looked at Bo's gun, which Hope used to kill Stefano. Later, Harold arrived and said that two treasury agents came by and served an eviction notice. Harold said that Stefano had back taxes and that they had to be paid by Friday, or he would be escorted out of the property.
Chad met with Andre in his hotel room and Andre told him that Hope killed Stefano. Though Andre gave him all the facts, Chad wasn't convinced and told him that he was paying the back taxes on the mansion and would take over it. After that, he wanted Andre to move out.
This week, Steve and Ava receive surprising news about their son while Andre finds a way to get revenge against Hope. Steve and Kayla reunite, and a dangerous fire breaks out in Hope's house.
