Last week on "Days of Our Lives," Theresa informed Caroline that Victor hired Xander as their gardener. Caroline thought it's a bad idea. Theresa thought that things might progress between her and Brady, but Caroline reminded her that he's in love with Melanie. Anne arrived and announced that Dr. Lee was on board with keeping Brady from knowing that she's lying. Caroline asked what that was all about and the two tried to explain, but Caroline said she had a headache and left.
Theresa reprimanded Anne for just blurting things out like that. Later, she told Anne that Victor hired Xander as the gardener. Theresa said that Xander being around made Brady extra protective. Theresa got up to pour herself a drink when Brady walked in. She faked an argument with Anne about moving her crutches. Brady went to take a call, and the two agreed that that was a close call.
At the park, Ben wondered why Aiden dropped them as clients. Clyde told him not to worry and just focus on Abigail. Ben asked why he wanted them to be together. Clyde thought about Abigail's inheritance but told Ben that he just wanted him to be happy.
At the hospital, Chad found Abigail sobbing in her office. She said she believes that he loves her, but it's too late. Chad asked her to leave Salem with him that night. He asked if she loves him as much as he loves her, and when she didn't answer, he kissed her. She pulled away and said that although she cared about him, she's committed to Ben. Trying to hold back the tears, Chad walked away.
Later, Abigail told Ben that she would love to marry him. Ben hugged her and told her that she has made him the happiest man in the world, as Chad arrived.
