D23 Expo 2017 panel schedule news: Disney reveals full panel lineup

The panel lineup of Disney's D23 Expo 2017 has been released. d23.com

Disney officially announced its full panel lineup for the upcoming D23 Expo 2017 happening on July 14–16 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The event will kick off with the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony with Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger on Friday, July 14, at 10 a.m. The honorees for this year include actor Mark Hamill, multimedia celebrity Oprah Winfrey, Marvel's editorial director Stan Lee, director Garry Marshall, and the late actress Carrie Fisher.

The event will be followed by a panel hosted by Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animated Studios at 2:30 p.m. of the same day, where artists from the highly acclaimed animated studios will show the behind-the-scenes look at how they come up with the much-anticipated sequels such as "The Incredibles 2," "Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-it Ralph 2," and the upcoming film "Coco."

On Saturday, July 15, The Walt Disney Studios Live-Action Films will conduct its panel to showcase its upcoming lineup of films. This is the same panel where "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and "Doctor Strange" were first previewed in public in the previous D23 Expos. The event will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Then by 3 p.m., Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek will talk about what to look forward to in all the Disney Parks and Resorts worldwide during the presentation of the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts group.

Finally on Sunday, July 16, the eight-time Oscar Award-winner and certified Disney Legend Alan Menken will take the stage on a two-part one-man show called "A Whole New World with Alan Menken." Some of his masterpieces like the music from "Beauty and the Beast," "Pocahontas," "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," "The Little Mermaid," "Tangled," and "Enchanted" will be played during his event. The first event will start at 1:30 p.m., while the second part will begin at 5 p.m.
