"Curb Your Enthusiasm" just flexed its musical muscles. In celebration of the show's new season after being on break for six years, Larry David has curated 27 songs for the HBO comedy show. The playlist starts with the song "Frolic" and ends with "Overture in the French style, BWV 831" by Andras Schiff.

Steve Rasch, "Curb Your Enthusiasm's" editor and musical supervisor, recently revealed that the music that they'll be using for the show's ninth season will represent intense scenarios.

He added that the season has a lot of arguing and a lot of stressful moments involved, saying, "The music functions like a laugh track. It's a cue for the audience to view what's happening through the comedian's eyes. It's a funny look at heavy topics. The music lightens the mood."

Rasch disclosed that David heard "Frolic" in a commercial for a bank a couple of years ago. The tuba-centric song is an original composition written for "La Bellissima Estate," an Italian movie released in 1974.

David reportedly liked the song and asked his producer Laura Streicher to look for it. The song eventually became the sound of the show and gave the audience a feeling of hearing it from a pit orchestra in a circus, alongside tubas and clarinets.

The other songs included in the playlist are Frank Sinatra's "I've Got You Under My Skin," Sam Cooke's "What A Wonderful World," Nino Rota's "The Godfather Waltz," and Frankie Valli's "Can't Take My Eyes Off You."

David is the creator and the executive producer of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" along with Jeff Garlin and Jeff Schaffer. Cast members Cheryl Hines, J.B. Smoove and Susie Essman will have recurring appearances on the new season.

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" season 9 airs every Sunday, 10 p.m. EDT on HBO. The next episode is titled "The Accidental Text on Purpose."
