In the next episode of "Criminal Minds," the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) led by David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) race against time to catch a killer who uses drones to get his victims.

The trailer for the latest installment titled "Killer App" was recently released and showed Rossi, Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler), Matt Simmons (Daniel Henney), and Dr. Tara Lewis (Aisha Tyler) getting briefed by Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) about the killer's psychological and behavioral profile. The killer is apparently also very skilled as he uses drones to perform his murders.

"No blood, just bodies," notes Agent Luke Alvez (Adam Rodriguez) about the killings. The team is unable to find any shred of evidence at the site of the murders. After all, if the killer uses a drone, it would be quite difficult to determine how it is being used in the murder as it is able to hide at varying heights and distances.

In the last scene, Simmons goes on the trail for the killer but gets jumped by him seemingly. The agent's life may be in danger and it remains to be seen if his team will be able to help him in that situation.

In the previous episode, Reid was caught in a similar situation wherein he was confronted by the psychotic killer William Lynch (Alberto Frezza) who was about to slash his victim with a knife. Reid was able to convince him that he was not the one at fault for his mother's (Jodi Moore Lewis) death but his grandmother (Mary Jo Deschanel).

Apparently, Lynch witnessed his grandmother kill his mom at an early age which traumatized him greatly. Lynch put down the cutting knife and surrendered to the police eventually.

"Criminal Minds" season 13 episode 3 will air on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 10 p.m. EDT on CBS.
