Recently, one of Chris Brown's new songs, "Kae," was leaked on the internet, and many people assumed that that the singer was bashing his ex, Karrueche Tran, on the new track. According to the International Business Times, the song is about a girl who would lie and not be there for the singer like she promised, but Brown commented on the rumors, telling The Shade Room that the song is not intended to disrespect anyone.

"This is not a bashing song," Brown explained to The Shade Room. "This song is saying that the relationship is no more. I'm expressing the time apart and the space that's between two people who loved each other."

The singer added that while he made a lot of mistakes during the relationship, he is not bashing his ex, who wasn't named in the comment, and that the song was meant to express "the man I am today" and that he chose to air his feelings through his music and art.

Brown and Tran had dated on and off for four years before breaking up for good in March 2015 after she learned that the 26-year-old fathered a baby girl named Royalty with model Nia Guzman. Tran ended the relationship via Twitter and wrote, "Listen. One can only take so much. The best of luck to Chris and his family. No baby drama for me."

Shortly after, Brown acknowledged his daughter and he would often post pictures of the toddler on his social media accounts. Brown's latest album, which was released this month, was even named after the child, and the cover art features the "Ayo" singer holding his sleeping baby close to him.

Nowadays, Tran is said to be dating Danish DJ Morten. A source told Entertainment Tonight that the two have been dating "for a few weeks," but Tran's rep told the website that they are not dating and that the model is single.
