Casting Crowns shares message behind song 'You Are the Only One'

Casting Crowns explains meaning of song "You Are the Only One."

God is the only One who is good enough to save and redeem people, and this is what Christian band Casting Crowns tackles in their song "You Are the Only One."

In their Facebook page, the band shared the Bible verse Ephesians 2:4-9 which says: "But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which HE loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together in Christ – by grace you have been saved – and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the imeasureable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing: it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."

They explained that God did this selfless act for Christians. Because of sin, people are already doomed but God did not forsake His people.

God did it all, they said - God chose us, he started us, and He will complete us. "No one is greater than He. He sees all, knows all, and controls all. He is the only way and the only one who can rescue us from the lies the world tells us," the band wrote.

It is because of Him that people have a shot at redemption, so no matter how great one's life is, and no matter how much people love their families, it will never be good enough. The only thing that could ever measure up are redemption and salvation that come with accepting Christ as one's Saviour.

The challenge for people now is to leave their lives up to God, and let Him take the reins in their lives. Casting Crowns is urging Christians to show complete trust in God and allow Him to show them just How much He loves and cares for them.
