'Braxton Family Values' season 5: 'Making Fetch Happen'

Last week on the season 5 finale of "Braxton Family Values," Trina got a nice surprise from Jacent, the sisters started working on Toni's Christmas album, and Trina and Towanda talked about retiring as Toni's back-up singers.

The episode picked up where it left off the week before, with Jacent giving Trina a small box during their dinner date. Trina opened it to find a small pink key, and Jacent said that it's the key to Bar Chix and that "the status is complete." After a lot of set-backs, Trina was a lot closer to opening her bar. Trina said that she was relieved that it wasn't a ring, and even more relieved that construction on the bar was finally finished.

At the studio, Toni told her producer that they needed to finish the Christmas album because she had to go on tour soon. All of the sisters were hesitant about doing the project since all of them were preoccupied with their own thing, but Toni wanted to make it work because it was something that could make their mom happy. Trina, Towanda, Toni, and Traci were all at the studio for the first session, and they had no idea if Tamar would be joining them the next day.

Meanwhile in L.A., Tamar was busy working on her own album, and she was also excited about Bishop T.D. Jakes' Megafest where the sisters were slated to perform. Tamar thought it's important for them to do this especially since he had done a lot for them in the past.

At the gym, Trina and Towanda talked about retiring as Toni's back-up singers, and Trina said that they might have to think about telling her at the right time since they didn't know how Toni would react. Towanda didn't know what's worse — that Toni would take it well or that she'd tell them she's been thinking that it's high time that they went on their own.

Tamar realized that the Christmas album will be released in October, which is one month after her own album's launch. Fed up, Toni told her that she could just quit the Christmas album. From there, things started going downhill as Traci walked out during a recording session, and when her sisters followed her, Traci didn't want to talk about it.

Will the Braxton's Christmas album ever be finished? Will Trina finally get to open Bar Chix? And will Towanda and Trina ever muster up the courage to tell Toni that they're quitting as her back-up singers?

Viewers can find out when "Braxton Family Values" comes back for its fifth season on WeTV.
