Last week on "Braxton Family Values," Towanda got to perform at the Atlanta Black Theater Festival, and Tamar found out that Traci's boyfriend, Jacent, wanted to have a private meeting with their father.
Tamar, Towanda, Trina and Tracy went out for cocktails, and some of the sisters felt like they really deserved a drink. Tamar said that she had been working hard and therefore, she deserves a cocktail. As for Trina, she was hard at work ensuring that Bar Chix's opening would go on without a hitch. Talk turned to Jacent, and the sisters teased Trina about her romantic life.
At her home in L.A., Tamar told Mama Evelyn that she heard that Jacent wanted to talk to Papa Braxton. Tamar was worried that Jacent might propose to Trina, but Evelyn said that she was not worried at all because Trina is living "day to day." She just had her divorce finalized, and Evelyn said that she didn't think Trina would say "I do" so quickly.
Meanwhile, Towanda said that she wanted to do something else other than singing, so she decided to participate at the Atlanta Black Theater Festival by performing a monologue. Trina came to support Towanda at the festival, and Towanda did great during her monologue, eliciting a lot of laughs from the crowd. Trina said that her sister did great, and was glad that she was there to share the moment with her.
Jacent got to meet Papa Braxton at a restaurant, and he said that he wanted to talk about Trina.
"This is the thing here. I'm very respectable, and I wanted to come to you, as a man... I want your blessing," Jacent said.
Papa Braxton said that right now, Trina is very vulnerable, and he didn't want Jacent to take advantage of that — but in the end, he said that it's going to be up to Trina.
Will Jacent pop the question soon?
The show's next episode, titled "An Engaging Question," appears to hold clues. When Jacent talked to Papa Braxton, he said that he would appreciate it if they kept their conversation a secret — Jacent must be planning something big. According to the show's official site, Trina's relationship will take a "major turn," so fans can look forward to a surprising turn of events this week.
The sister will also continue to work on their music as Tamar plans an ambitious photo shoot for her new album, while Toni proposes a Christmas album with her sisters.
