Bella Hadid, Drake split rumors: Rapper 'ghosted' model thru text message

After rumors circulated in October that there was a brewing romance between model Bella Hadid and rapper Drake, new reports say the two have broken up.

A source of US Weekly claimed that the 21-year-old, who recently joined other angels in walking the runway for the Victoria Secret Fashion Show in Shanghai, China, and the ex of Rihanna, have stopped communicating. "Things ended over text when he basically ghosted her," the insider revealed.

That said, Drake and Hadid never confirmed rumors of their supposed relationship, despite the fact that they had been spending time together. They were first linked when the "Dreams Money Can Buy" singer attended Hadid's 21st birthday in Socialista, New York City. Some reports also claimed that Drake was on top of the celebration, paying and organizing for the posh and luxurious party.

Now, news of their alleged breakup came days after Hadid's ex "Starboy" singer The Weeknd was photographed leaving Hadid's New York apartment. On this end, sources denounced budding reconciliation speculations and clarified that although Hadid and The Weeknd still have feelings for each other, their meeting was only for the two to save their friendship.

Fans saw the breakup of Hadid and The Weeknd, who is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye in real life in 2016, after which, the "Can't Feel My Face" singer dated "Wolves" singer Selena Gomez. Hadid unfollowed Gomez on social media after photos of the "Bad Liar" singer and the Canadian crooner smooching made rounds on the internet.

The former Disney child star and The Weeknd, meanwhile, reportedly called it quits recently, after images of sightings of Gomez and her ex, "Sorry" singer Justin Bieber, surfaced. The Weeknd was then spotted with Bieber's ex, model Yovanna Ventura, for two consecutive nights. The Weeknd was reportedly getting comfortable with Ventura at a birthday party.
