'Bachelor in Paradise' season 2 spoilers: Joe's wish comes true in episode 3

This week, the contestants on "Bachelor in Paradise" continued to enjoy their stay at the Playa Escondida Resort as they try to find true love. During their second week at the resort, Juelia got some advice about Joe from some of the male contestants, and Jared told Clare how he really feels about her.

Jared and Clare enjoyed a sailing date and they also went bungee jumping. Clare thought that there might be some potential there, but later, Jared came clean and told Clare that he didn't feel a connection with her due to their age difference. He told her that there should be a spark between them, and somehow he was just not feeling it.

Juelia was convinced that she and Joe had a connection, but somehow the other contestants didn't see it. Ashley S. notes how Joe has been avoiding Juelia since their return, and Jonathan pulled her aside to talk about Joe, telling her that he didn't think that he was there for her. Even Mikey put his two cents in and told Juelia that Joe didn't feel the same way about her — would she keep him around instead?

It appears that Jonathan, Ashley S., and Mikey may be right as Joe told the camera in his confessional that he didn't care about Juelia's feelings and that he came in the competition hoping that Samantha Steffen from Chris Soules' season would be there.

In the end, Lauren left the competition, and Mikey, Jonathan, and Michael were eliminated.

Next week, it looks like Joe's wish will come true as three new girls are entering the resort: Megan Bell, Amber James, and Samantha from Chris Soules' season.

According to "The Bachelor" guru Reality Steve, Samantha will ask Joe to go on a date with her. Upon arrival, she will claim that she doesn't know anybody there, but during next week's episode it will be revealed that Samantha and Joe were talking to each other even before the season began. By taking Joe, she'll also be hurting Juelia, who she developed a friendship with during their time on "The Bachelor." For their date, Joe and Samantha will go on a photo shoot for People magazine.

Meanwhile, Megan will take JJ and they'll go on a yacht and also ride jet skis. Amber will take Dan, and Carly will take Kirk out to see a fireworks show.

"Bachelor in Paradise" airs on Sunday and Monday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
