With sexual harassment allegations sweeping Hollywood, it seems that networks and production companies are taking the necessary steps to correctly address it.
Warner Bros. TV has suspended Andrew Kreisberg, the producer overseeing the shows "The Flash," "Supergirl," "Arrow," and "Legends of Tomorrow." It has also started an investigation into the sexual harassment allegations made against him.
According to Variety, the Warner Bros. TV Group has placed Kreisberg on suspension and launched an inquiry into the sexual misconduct allegations against him. All the sources who spoke with Variety all worked with Kreisberg in some capacity and has knowledge of his sexual misconduct over the years
In a statement made by Warner Bros. TV Group, it said, "We have recently been made aware of allegations of misconduct against Andrew Kreisberg. We have suspended Mr. Kreisberg and are conducting an internal investigation. We take all allegations of misconduct extremely seriously, and are committed to creating a safe working environment for our employees and everyone involved in our productions."
Additionally, the accusations also said that Kreisberg often touched people without their permission, asked for massages from female staffers, and kissed women without their consent. Moreover, he is also accused by almost every source of making comments that were sexual in nature about women's clothes and their perceived desirability.
Kreisberg has refuted these accusations and denied them, adding that no one has told him that he was making sexually charged remarks about women or if his actions were of a sexual nature. He said that his comments were made on his role as executive producer and reiterated that they were not sexual in nature.
As of press time, it is still unclear whether Kreisberg's suspension will affect any of the show's he's handling in terms of production or its content, but there is no doubt that the other people behind these shows will keep it moving forward and a lot of industry onlookers will follow this case to see how Warner Bros. handles it from this point forward.
