UPDATE: Apple updated its store site and is now offering a gift card for purchases.
Customers can get a gift card worth up to $75 USD for the purchase of an iPad; $150 USD for the purchase of a Macbook; and $50 for the purchase of an iPod.
The gift card value is larger than the Black Friday 2012 deal that Apple offered (customers received $100 off of Macbook purchases). The gift card value of the Macbook Air matches the discount offered by major retailer Best Buy. But deals for the iPad are better at Target and Walmart. See below.
Walmart, BestBuy, and Target have all released their ads early with bargain deals for iPads and iPhones.
Target iPad Deals
Looking to purchase the latest iPad Air? The best deal can be found at Target! Purchase the iPad Air at Target for the full retail price of $479 and receive a $100 gift card. This means that essentially the cost of the latest new iPad Air will be just $379.
Customers purchasing an iPad Mini will receive a $75 gift card. Receive a $50 gift card for iPod purchases as well.
Target will be opening at 8 p.m. Nov. 28 and close at 11p.m. Nov. 29.
Walmart iPad and iPhone Deals
The first generation iPad Mini will be selling for $299 at Walmart. Upon purchase, customers will be given a $100 gift-card to spend in store. This means down the cost of a brand new iPad Mini for just $199. Customers looking to purchase an iPhone 5S and 5C on a two-year contract will also receive a $75 gift-card. Walmart will be selling the iPhone 5S for $186 and iPhone 5C for $48.
If you are looking to upgrade your phone at this time of year, check out Walmart's in-store trade-in program for your old iPhone. Customers can get up to $300 in-store credit for old iPhones.
Walmart will be openings its doors at 6p.m. on Nov. 28, Thanksgiving Day.
Best Buy iPads Deals
Discounts of up to $70 will be given for the latest iPad Air. The discount will vary between $50 to $70 depending on the memory size of the device. However, this deal does not beat Target's $100 gift-card deal.
The second generation iPad 2 will be sold with a discounted $100 price tag.
BestBuy will also open over 1,000 of its stores nationwide at 6 p.m. Check local stores for times.
