Apple '12 Days of Gifts 2013' for Christmas: List from last year hints at free content to come

Apple has launched "12 Days of Gifts" giveaways for Christmas this year.

This is the first time,users in the United States will be able to download free software for 12 days Christmas.

Previously known as "12 Days of Christmas", Apple had offered its iPad and iPhone customers in Europe, Canada and Japan free music, videos, apps, etc. for 12 days.

iPhone and iPad users can download the Apple 12 Days Of Gifts app to receive notifications on when new goodies are available each day.

Apple states: "From December 26 to January 6, you can download a gift each day—songs, apps, books, movies, and more—with the 12 Days of Gifts app. Each day's gift will only be available for 24 hours, so download the free app to make sure you don't miss out. Note: Not all content is available in all countries."

Last year, free content that was on offer included Foo Fighters 12 Days of Christmas Single, Lonely Planet's Best in Travel 2012 Book, SHIFT 2 Unleashed, House and 30 Rock, One Direction : Gotta Be You single, Snapseed, Sonic Jump, How I Met Your Mother, Season 1 Pilot, 'The Red Pole of Macau' Novel, Sherlock, Series 1 Episode 1, First Touch Score Classic Goals, and Maroon 5 EP.
