Google's latest mobile operating system, Android 4.5 "Lollipop" may be released with the launch of the upcoming Google Nexus 8 device in July.

While older devices are still waiting for the Android 4.4 KitKat update, others are waiting for a possible Android 4.4.3 update, which would be to fix all the glitches and bugs in the Android 4.4.2 version, and the revamped Android 4.5 Lollipop OS.

The older Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and original Note has yet to receive the rumored KitKat update, but Google looks to be moving on to release its next operating system with a device launch simultaneously.

Google has not refreshed the popular Nexus 10 model, which is already over six months overdue its rumored release date. Instead, the search engine giant may be bringing out an 8inch tablet, replacing both the Nexus 10 and Nexus 7 models.

The move to bring out the Nexus 8 could be to rival the iPad Mini 2, which continues to be popular among customers.

Google's Android 4.5 "Lollipop" is set to bring a change by unifying Chrome, Android and search altogether.

According to leaked details by the Android Police, Google will reportedly significantly revamp the user interface.

The company is currently experimenting with Project Hera, which, "essentially represents Google's effort to unify the experience users have in Android, Chrome, and Search all on your Android-powered device," according to Android Police.

The interface is set to be a new HTML5-style interface, meaning actions could be carried out without fully opening the app.

Project Hera would allow easier integration between Chrome and search on mobile devices running Android, and allow HTML5 apps to work natively on Android.

Hera is believed to be built on Google's Chromium platform, but that is yet to be confirmed.
