A listing for the South Korean variant of the Galaxy Note 2 with model number SHV-E250 was posted by GFXBench, suggesting, that the phone is indeed running on the latest Android OS.

The model is a domestic South Korean model and does not apply to international models.

Although Samsung has not officially announced a KitKat update for the Galaxy S2, reports state that the release is impending and that it will begin to roll out to carriers soon.

In Europe, French carrier SFR stated that customers should expect to receive the Android 4.4 KitKat update at the end of May.

As for the U.S., no specific release date has been given, and the update is expected to arrive without warning.
