Shadow Moon's (Ricky Whittle) life will get more complicated as his relationship with his boss Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane) deepens in the third episode of "American Gods" on Starz.

The synopsis of the episode, titled "Head Full of Snow," reveals that Shadow will be confused about the conditions of his employment with Mr. Wednesday, until the latter tells him about the plans to rob a bank.

However, Shadow's employment will be the least of all his worries. The synopsis also reveals he will experience another unexpected discovery after he returns to his own motel room.

In an interview with Collider, Whittle reveals that he was deeply shocked when he first learned about the plans of series creators Bryan Fuller and Michael Green in the TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman's popular novel with the same title.

According to the actor, he was not sure if the creators' plans could be aired on TV because of its outrageous theme.

"But, Starz and Fremantle have pushed the envelope and allowed these incredibly creative and genius minds to really explode with information and visual effects," Whittle shares. "As an actor, you know what's good and when you've been working with an actor and it goes well, whether it's a sad scene, a happy scene or a powerful scene."

The actor also hints that fans of the series should also look forward to the upcoming episodes of the series, especially after his character had a dramatic conversation with his dead wife Laura (Emily Browning). "So, I'm excited for people to see that. We touch upon it in the two prior episodes, and people will be anxious for it. I want to see the audience's reaction to that moment, and where we go from there," the actor also shares.

Starz will air the next episode of "American Gods" on Sunday, May 14, at 9 p.m. EDT.
