James May, Jeremy Clarkson, and Richard Hammond are gearing up for their new show on Amazon.

Original "Top Gear" hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May are preparing to launch a show on Amazon Prime which will rival the long-running BBC car series.

Back in March, the network fired Clarkson after he reportedly punched a producer, and May and Hammond left shortly after, along with "Top Gear" producer Andy Wilman. Since last year, Clarkson has been busy developing his own show as he set up his own production company. Earlier this month, the 55-year-old took to Twitter to post pictures of his staff moving into their new offices.

Hammond also took to the micro blogging site last October to post a photo of the trio standing in front of three luxury cars and their entire staff. "The band is back together and it feels brilliant," he captioned the shot. According to CBC.ca, the three have been filming episodes for their new show since last fall.

The new show is expected to have more fast cars, banter, and world travels this year. While the three presenters will be around, other features on the BBC show such as helmeted driver The Stig, the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car and the Cool Wall won't be on Clarkson's new show as they all belong to the BBC. In an interview with Sunday Times (via The Week), Clarkson said that they would have to start over again, saying that the show is "going to be all new."

Because the name "Top Gear" also belongs to BBC, Clarkson will be creating a new title for the Amazon show. As of the moment, Clarkson has yet to decide on a name for the series, which will have three series of 12 episodes released once a week, episode by episode, on the streaming service. Clarkson also confirmed on Twitter earlier this month that the new show will be made in 4K, which is the latest standard for high definition video.

Clarkson, Hammond, and May's new show is expected to debut in the fall.
